Mon- 1pm -7pm Lessons non-stop. Today no lessons. =D

1-4pm: Mol Endocrinology

4- 6pm: Mol Pharmacology

6- 730pm: Seminar in Pharmacy

I am so hungry at the end of it! Endo and pharm modules are ok. I just hate the seminar part. Present for an hour. I am talkative but not to that extent. Haha I will just speak so slowly for the koreans to catch up my BRITISH english.

Anyway, I have yet a project on my own. Prof said after the 1st sem and we shall discuss. Not bad, as I can focus on my studies. But I have to do the mundane stuff in lab such as, lab roster, making buffers, refilling paper towels and paper cups etc. Seniors say to do what, juniors have to do =(

I followed different seniors to see their project. Quite interesting. The project that uses mouse models is quite interesting but cruel. Imagine killing 56 mice at a go for 2-3 hrs by cervical dislocation and afterwich, they can still eat lunch.

And the mice are bleeding from their anus due to the drug tested. Poor mice. Though I attended the animal course in Sg, BUT! I still cannot overcome the fear of getting bitten when I try to hold them and inject the drug through its mouth. Worst still, cervical dislocation. But the seniors did it effortlessly....maybe they're guys. They even played korean pop song during the 'slaughter'. Imagine 2NE1 FIRE and Super Junior while killing the mice. What a contrast.

I did genotyping on the mice we breed in-house. They are transgenic models for dwnstream expts. I feel that when the lab is conservative in terms of monetary, it has its advantage too. Haha you get to learn & do things right from scratch. It has been AGES since I last prepared media, PBS, buffers etc. Everything was commercially bought previously.

Maybe I will suggest to do the mice project. I have been doing cell cultures for so long. =(

Tml (Wed) I will attend a korean lecture on topics in cell pathophysiology. Even though I might not understand korean, but I hope the lesson will be interesting. I read the summary and its abt cancer biology and cell signalling pws =D

Ok, today's dinner was near my apt. Gimbap (W1000)and a hotdog stick (W500). Haha so thrifty right! But its filling =)

I want to go to LOTTE WORLD. I got a discount coupon that can admit 4! ^^

Time to read some journals and sleep =D
